About SmartToolsHub

SmartToolsHub is a free, independent collection of online calculators built to answer the everyday money questions real people ask: How much of my paycheck do I actually keep? How much house can I afford? What will this renovation cost? How much flooring do I need to buy?

SmartToolsHub is built and run by Jonathan, an independent developer — not a bank, a lender, or a large company. These tools exist because I wanted straight, free answers to my own money questions and couldn't find a site that gave them without a sales pitch attached.

Big banks and tax companies often hide these answers behind sign-up forms, sales calls, or paywalls. We built SmartToolsHub to give straight answers for free, with no account required, so you can make a confident decision in seconds.

What we offer

How we research and review our numbers

Our calculators are built on published figures from sources like the IRS, the U.S. Census Bureau, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Freddie Mac, and state tax agencies. We review each calculator's assumptions periodically and note a "last reviewed" date on pages where the underlying data can change, like tax brackets and mortgage rates. For a full explanation of how we source and calculate our numbers, see our Methodology page.

Our promise on accuracy — and our limits

We keep our calculators updated with current information, including the 2026 federal tax changes from the One, Big, Beautiful Bill. That said, every result is an estimate for general information only and is not financial, tax, legal, or lending advice. We are not a bank, lender, tax preparer, financial advisor, or government agency, and no one on our team is presented as a licensed professional. Tax and lending situations vary, so always confirm important numbers with your employer's HR department, a licensed tax professional, or a mortgage lender before making a decision. See our Disclaimer for the full picture.

How we keep it free

SmartToolsHub is supported by advertising and affiliate partnerships. We display ads, and some links on the site are affiliate links — including through the Amazon Associates Program and CJ Affiliate — which means we may earn a commission if you make a purchase or sign up, at no extra cost to you. This support lets us keep every tool 100% free to use. Full details are on our Affiliate Disclosure page.
